Colossians 3:23-24
And whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord and not to men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance; foryou serve the Lord Christ.
This principle could be applied by all believers and it should affect their conduct in all aspects of life. We are called to do all things wholeheartedly with enthusiasm and passion. What is the motivation? We are doing them as unto the Lord, who see and will reward us accordingly. Having such an attitude, will make us an incredible distinctive people among fellow human beings.
Change must first come from within. As our perspective is transformed by God, our doing will take off in a different dimension because we will be following His standard. Regardless of our status in life, God will ultimately judge us in all that we do. The motives will be seen by Him who sees all things.
When our goal is to serve Christ and to please Him, we will live in holiness, diligence, excellence, and seeking to serve others with love and kindness. If we desire to please our God and Master, the issues with family members, people, work situations would be more bearable. Grace will be given for wives to submit to husbands; for husbands to have sacrificial love towards wives; for children to obey parents; for parents to care for their children; and lastly for servants and masters to treat each other with respect.
